At least 17' if you just want to drop the cash.

Or you can apply a couple coats of shellac to your plywood before you make a box beam,
Then a couple more coats on the finished and full length beam will ensure little moisture
absorption.

The nice thing about the plywood box beams, I suggest you build in the plans, is they are
multipurpose. I've use mine numerous times as scaffolding between ladders to work on my house.

Screw two 8 footers on horses and attach a sheet of plywood to have a large work platform to
work on a ceiling.
