: Yes. I bonded the skin (PVC coated polyester - same stuff Tom Yost
: likes) to the hull with 3M 5200 and stainless staples. With the
: 5200 the staples are really only needed to hold the skin in
: place while it cures. I left them in place and covered them by
: laminating on a 1/2" wide rub rail of the same fabric.

: 3-layer Gortex-like fabric for the deck. Having a sealed deck

I was thinking of this idea for some time...do a wood bottom and do fabric at the first chine (where the side panel meets the bottom panel)....but this would create problems below the waterline....I like you're idea better....
