We are dropping a 100-ft. redwood tree at one of my home rehab projects and planning to have it milled on site to rough sizes. I'm assuming that once everything is rendered into 1x and 2x and 4x chunks that milling strips on the tablesaw can commence more or less immediately, as once everything is in strips, they'll dry out pretty quickly without misbehaving much as to shape, checking etc.. Am I wrong? Should I find a place to sticker the large pieces and then come back in a year? Thinking about getting the OI going this summer and planning to get a few 20-footers for the project, as I prefer to work with full-length strips.
Thanks in advance,
