Hi Bill and Gelu, thanks for the interest and suggestions, Yes it will be glassed, so polyester or dacron seems to be the preffered materials for that. I'll do some testing with some some old printed banners, that I got from the company I work for - appear to be polyester.. will do a little ironing and wetting to see how it reacts.. might end up with a company kayak...cool, maybe lol.. came across a whole big heap of discarded banners yesterday - they have only been used indoors for 3 days at various fairs, we'll see
