I was very satisfied with the sailing qualities: very well balanced and easy on the helm in different conditions, and with a decent speed on and off the wind, for a roomy cruiser. The rig was very handy maneuvering, and I to enjoy the game of entering and leaving port under sail (it appealed to my vanity ;-)
But eventually, when the kids grew up and got other ideas on how to spend the summer vacations than sailing with mom and dad, she got less use than she deserved and was sold – and I ended up in kayaks. Another reason was that we built her without any boatbuilding experience in a couple of university years, with the result that upkeep was taking more and more time. No problems with the ferro-cement hull whatsoever, but the wooden deck, cabin, hatches etc should have been built with better materials and with more experience. The new owner rebuilt those things in fiberglass/epoxy. But still, she served us well for 20 years...
