Hi Sean,
I used stormsure, the toluene free stuff. The smell reminded me of an old shoemaker's shop.
I'll probably put seam tape on later to tidy up the inside, the outside edges look good.
I found the problem with the mask, a small hole/split near the cartridge. New mask.

The smell may not have been actually strong, I'm cursed with a very good sense of smell.
