: I used a gradual taper
: I've got size 12 stompers and after building a Spring Run, decided
: that I would like a little bit more room for my feet in my next
: boat. I decided to build another Spring Run and raise the deck a
: bit. I got a little bit of direction, much like has been offered
: here, and decided to raise some of the deck forms. Here's what I
: did......
: Starting with the form closest to where my feet reside, I added
: 1" of height to the form by cutting it laterally at the
: shear line and inserted a 1" spacer as the last poster
: suggested. For the next form fore and aft, I added 3/4" in
: height. For the next form fore and aft, I added 1/2". For
: the next forms, 1/4" and then back to normal form size. If
: you don't already have forms cut, insert the spacers on the
: drawings and then cut the forms.
: I'm extremely happy with the way my 2nd Spring Run came out and the
: extra 1" is real nice. Visually, the extra space is
: undetectable unless you already know it is there. The lines
: still look terrific and with Spring Run #1 and #2 side by side,
: you would be hard pressed to detect the difference in deck
: height.
: Since I like a lot of foot room, I will consider this modification
: on any future boats I build.....

My records show Joe Greenly of Boise ID, bought my Georgian Bay plans in September 1994.
He built the Georgian Bay and posted a favorable review on a west coast club page.
I believe this is the same Joe Greenly of Redfish.
I believe my Georgian Bay (16' 6" x 24") has a higher sheerline/volume than the Spring Run (16' 9" x 23-7/8")
You'd have to contact Joe to find out the similarities and differences.

I see Joe likes my seat design, laminated cockpit coamings and magnetic hatches too.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
