Defeats some of the advantages of having a Tuilik....loose in the waist and loose at the neck. but seals water from the body/ears and neck Keeps you warmer for immersion.

If you just want to paddle and not roll....and wish to spend the money on the neck gasket....I don't see why it wouldn't work. However you can always paddle with the hood pulled down and then pull it up as desired for rolling or anything that requires a warmer/dry head.
