If you are paddling in salt water you may want to plan in a replacement strategy. Electricity and salt water will cause corrosion eventually. Even if you do a really good job of sealing everything it is probably only a matter of time. You will want to consider how your electronics can be serviced or replaced when it comes time to fix them.

Epoxy is only very water resistant, it is not completely waterproof. Penetrations where wires and leads enter different materials are amazingly difficult to permanently seal. Moving parts are also tricky to seal completely. Slightly wet fingers replacing batteries can introduce enough salt to a electronics box to create corrosion that is very difficult to stop.
