: I think I began sanding to level the surface of my hull too soon.
: When sanding, the epoxy resin loads up the paper quickly and
: also leaves gummy residue on the boat. How long is it customary
: to wait for the resin to cure before sanding? I have used RAKA
: epoxy resin mixed 50/50. What is the recommended procedure to
: remove the areas of gummy residue ?

: Thanks,

If you mixed the product properly you just need to wait until the epoxy is cured enough to sand. Even the gummy area will sand out. Epoxy may take days or weeks to cure in a cold garage. I did this exact same thing and had to tent my boat to keep it warm enough to cure. 24 hrs in 70 degrees should show significent improvement, if mixed properly.
