Hi Travis, I gave this some thought a while ago but never followed through, some thoughts on it are -hole is small enough to disapear after wetting the wood down,-if using a pneumatic pinner you can back off the pressure to keep the pins just proud. the down side is the head on a 23 gauge pin is mighty small
and might not hold the strip in place, if you try this please let us know the results good luck Nick R.
