Is there a Dummy's Guide to searching the Kayak Building Forum?

I recently was encouraged to add a skeg to my as yet not completed CLC Arctic Hawk.
Did a search to locate a thread did not get many items despite giving several years as the target span for the search.

Help with search would teach me to fish.

But I would take a fish if anyone cares to point me to a good DIY skeg design. I remember seeing one not long ago, seemed well thought out and used hardware designed for either air tools or plumbing, the skeg was serviceable and low profile. Naturally I can't remember any of the details.
