The glue will re-set if it is not washed out of the joints. I have used warm water, a heat gun and razor knife to pry apart some mis-aligned strips and reset them. If I could pry them up/down/sideways without damage additional glue doesn't hurt. Try to get the strips aligned to the forms, filling such a large area with epoxy and fairing it would be an expensive, difficult and messy task. Good stuff that you found it now.

: I did an experiment with some scraps that are gued together. I put
: them in a coffee cup with hot tap water and they came apart in
: about 5 minutes. So I think I could put hot water on shop towels
: and lay the towels in place and add more heat with the iron. The
: only problem I see now is there will not be a way to reglue it.
: Once it has dried again maybe I could get some Crazy Glue to
: wick into the joint. Or just leave it since there is only about
: 8" of it.
: Or I just clean up the area and leave it as is. Then fill it with
: epoxy later.
