I've heard of this method for years but I have a hard time believing even the thinnest resin will move through the fattest horse needle...
a simple solution is to pin prick a hole at each end of a bubble OR
: at each end of a connected string of bubbles and jam the syringe
: needle ONto the pinprick at one (say lower) end and force the
: epoxy into the delam. Setup so input is low and output is high.
: The idea is not to make the pinprick hole as big as the syringe
: needle so that it sticks into the delam (you don't put the
: needle in, but on) - as no pressure can be built up plus a
: larger hole may bruise the glass a little and become more
: visible. To keep the intial hole small, I twirl a pinvised
: needle. With fairly simple planning (inject low, etc) all the air
: will evacuate as the resin rises or travels along.
: It is a wondrous thing to see a 12" string of unsightly
: connected bubbles become clear - as the entrapped resin is
: forced along as you push down on the syringe. I seem to remember
: at least a few howls and brewskis being downed in satisfaction
: immediately afterwards. It might be a little messy (say 20%
: doesn't get in - so have a rag handy to wipe up) but so little
: is required anyway. Hopefully this is similar to your situation,
: so good luck.
