O it works, with west system or aeromarine, I have even done it with warmed up 5 minute stuff. I use a 1/16 drill to put the holes in (on an angle where possible) as the epoxy has a tendency to bend the needle tip. 20 gauge will work just fine and the amounts you use are very small. The amount of pressure you can produce by pushing on the plunger is amazing, wear safety glasses please.
