I used proshow producer from photodex. Proshow gold could do everything I did on this one for less money. In my opinion they are the best slideshow software options available. You can do full custom with plenty of options (this takes time but it is woth it for a serious production) or just use a wizard and do it in minutes. This one was done using a wizard and then about 10 minutes spent customizing. Proshow gold is easier to learn then producer, I would say after about 3 hours you will navigate easily in it if you are familiar with software in general.
