Cant remember which web site it was now.... maybe if it was 20 foot long as in the plans it would have been ok??
mine is 12 ft long and 32 inches wide....... even if I sit direct on the bottom its tippy.if I sit on top of a comfy cushon with the higher center of gravity it tips over immidiately !!! talk about annoying :( Anyway, I attached the outriggers directly to the sides and its fine.....

byw, close together chop from passing boats does tend to wash over it, but oh well....... guess thats why most kayaks are much longer.......
