I am in no way defending the fact that I generally
: do not wear a pfd while on the river...I just don't because this
: river is not a danger in my eyes. I do wear the pfd any time the

Definitely get a wallet shot for your new wife to show off to her friends.

My wish is to present kayakers as the generally responsable, safety conscious, boaters we are.

It would be nice to offset some of candidates for the Darwin Awards that put sea kayaking in the news.

Probably most people will not even notice your are not, but probably should be wearing, a PDF.
Not for the things you can foresee as problems, but for the ones you can't.

The things we do and the way we are presented is noticed by people, probably kids more so, than adults.
