When you say "the glass clearly shows the cloth weave", do you mean that the surface is still rough, showing the weave pattern, or can you see white or silver-looking 'threads' in the cloth?

If some of the threads in the cloth are 'showing', then more fill coats of epoxy will not solve the problem.

You might consider getting a second opinion on 'how bad it looks' before getting involved in any removal and re-do. As builders, we're usually our harshest critics.

BTW, before adding more epoxy coats, it would probably be a good idea to give the boat a good scrub with water and a scrub brush - to get rid of amine blush (if any) and dust.
