: When you say "the glass clearly shows the cloth weave",
: do you mean that the surface is still rough, showing the weave
: pattern, or can you see white or silver-looking 'threads' in the
: cloth?

: If some of the threads in the cloth are 'showing', then more fill
: coats of epoxy will not solve the problem.

: You might consider getting a second opinion on 'how bad it looks'
: before getting involved in any removal and re-do. As builders,
: we're usually our harshest critics.

: BTW, before adding more epoxy coats, it would probably be a good
: idea to give the boat a good scrub with water and a scrub brush
: - to get rid of amine blush (if any) and dust.

Also very few epoxies are totally clear, all impart some color to the finished boat, usually an amber color.
