:Glad to hear someone else "customizing" their kayak in this manner. I did a little better than that - I closed a manual closing door on my sons Laughing Loon North Star. I only got about 6 feet of 18 cracked. To this day, looking to the stearn there are two little arrowheads of light where I didn't get the WRC back together good enough. Same as yours - it was recently delivered.

I completed this Guillemot L kayak in December and have over a 100
: miles of paddling Pine Island Sound, Estero Bay, and the Florida
: Keys. During the build process, I just completed stripping the
: hull when I closed the automatic garage door on the hull. The
: hull crack in about 14 places, mostly along the seams. My heart
: sank! But my grandaughter said I could put it back together,
: which I did! I reglued the crack seams and made a couple of
: patches. I started with gluing and taping the sides to the
: stations and then finally reglued the two keel strips. I
: continued the build with stripping the deck and fiberglass with
: no major problems. I installed a Kajak skeg, Current Design
: seat, and used carbon fiber for the cockpit lip and hip plates.
: My lay up was done between expedition and standard lay up.
