You do want to get the seat height right (the first time) though it's not a big deal for a builder to take off a cleat and put in a new one at a different height, if necessary.

Thanks! Aside from family visits 'back East' I'm strictly a west coast guy nowadays. I used to canoe (Killarney, etc) in ON, but sold the canoes when I moved west. Kayak(s) now.....
With that canoe, you will have trouble getting out of the parking lot and onto the water. Be prepared for a lot of compliments. ;-)
