: made. What did you pay for your cedar? My suggestion would be to
: make something- anything- and paddle with it for a while. From
: there you can make decisions about your paddle based on your
: cadence, strength, loom/shoulder, beam, whatever. You can always
: change your existing paddle as easy as you made it in the first
: place, or you can keep it as a reference and buy new wood to
: start from scratch.

Mike is correct.....it might help some to go to the Masik issue for the summer of 2010 { http://www.qajaqusa.org/QUSA/newsletter.htm} I did a survey on body size versus paddle the person had found to be their size to date It is on page 42 because the Greenland and the European peoples have slightly different proportions. I was trying to determine if there was a different method needed for sizing a paddle.
