: That is correct. Other colors work nice too.

I used Solar Lux med. red mahogany on WRC and I found it way too dark and ended up painting over it. It took all the grain pattern away.
On another boat I thinned out the same stain and it looked nice. Will try Cordovan next.

It is a thin layer of stain on the wood and a very wise builder suggested just sanding it off if I was unhappy with it.....but in my haste I had the glass on and it was too late.
Very happy with the stain and used it outside on cold days easily....avoiding fumes inside.
