One of my favorites paddles is Little Griffin Island, Maine, a small island on the Maine Island Trail.
There's a spot on the way out from Port Clyde where you can paddle among dolphins.
The Marshall Point Lighthouse, Maine (put it in Google Earth, "fly to") at the entrance to Port Clyde
is the lighthouse Forrest Gump runs out to on the east coast, in the movie "Forrest Gump"
Little Griffin Island has a beautiful crushed shell beach which spans between the island
and a rocky shoal. The beach disappears at high tide. Our tides average between
8 to 10 feet. With the past super full moon tides were 14 feet.
