This pic shows the strips assembled for glueing. To help in glueing, I assembled the strips in proper order and separated them by approx 1/8" and taped the backs using 2" wide masking tape. I taped the backs in 4 places along the length of the strips. Once the strips were taped together, I flipped over and secured to my workbench with more masking tape (blue in the pic) and allowed the first strip to hang over the edge of the bench. This makes it easy to lay a bead of glue in the 45 degree "V".

After each bead of glue (Titebond III), I adjusted the position on the bench so that the next strip would hang over the edge exposing the "V". Do this eight times and you are ready to get messy. After laying all the beads of glue, I ran beads of glue for the plugs and laid them on the strips.

Now for the fun part. Roll up the strips making sure all the strips align properly.. No pics of this bumbling process....
