Looking for an easy out..
Has anyone tried smearing water soluble Durhams wood flour on the entire hull after the initial 60 to 80 grit sanding/shaping for the purpose of filling gaps ? Scraping with a squeegee, wiping excess off with old towels then
sanding with 120grit after the hull is thoroughly dried? I was thinking a light staining after the final sanding to even out the color and possibly masking the filler.

I did this on a bulkhead. When dried - sanded off with the 120 grit. It worked ok on this small area but hesitant to tackle a large area.
I bought a whole tub of this years ago and thought I might use it. The strips were in such poor shape, I see a large task of filling coming up.
