Its a great method. Highly recommend it.
I shot more video of a retro fit I did to my old Great Auk, but somehow deleted it. The mini hot glue sticks double wrapped in fiberglass tape make great molds. No kinks and they pop out with 5-6 pounds of pull (I put a scale on it).
for the retrofit I made the little Us first. Maybe I'll do the other half of my Great Auk and post that. I'm happy people watched my little video.

Both Maroske and myself could probably file patents for what we came up with. I doubt there's any money in it.
I'm sure I speak for both of us that we're happy to share with other builders. I certainly owe it to the guys here for all the help I've been given. ( I just wonder if Maroske is OK with my egotistically splicing my name on).
Maybe someone could install some M-N fittings on a really nice deck and post the photos. (I'm a bit of a hack.)

Get fiberglass sleeves. They don't cost much and they make it easy. I bought mine from SollerComposites, they're terrific. Last week I ordered some larger sleeves for another project, wanted them by the end of the week, had a payment snafu-lost a day, they still got them to me on by Saturday.
I also asked for advice, they responded quickly and expertly. Highly recommended.
