: the skirt up side down install over the coaming. Smear silicone
: seal and inch or more from the outer edge and let it cure. This
: area will contact the coaming rim when in use and will have more

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I am going to use Duane's plans to modify the skirt. I am thinking of making a template of the cockpit, then removing the bungee from the skirt and placing the template on the underside of the skirt and marking the shape plus an inch, lining the template up with rear of the skirt because the tunnel is in the right place and I don't want to move that, and sewing the bungee back in. My sisters mother in law is a pro sewer so I know she can do this for me if I get the template right.

Does it sound like I am on the right track?
My coaming is a 3/4 lip so if I make a template to the outer edges of the lip does adding an inch all the way around for the bungee to get sewn back in and the finished skirt to grab the coaming sound right?
