re: Duane's skirt method. Looks great, seems thoroughly considered.
I just could never find neoprene cheap enough to justify the cost AND the labor.

I have a store-bought neoprene spray skirt that was always a tight fit, and for some reason it shrank over a couple of years -- to the point I could no longer get it on the coaming.

My ugly-fix, was to cut out a big chunk of a Mystery Top (which seemed to make me colder rather than warmer ???? ), cut the top (front) of the spray skirt and then using very heavy nylon thread patch in a piece of bungee cord and then stitch the Mystery top to cover the hole. Works great -- looks like Frankenstein.
