: There are two schools of thought when it comes to paddle float
: rescues - one advocates the use of decklines while the other
: doesn't. As for the latter, it's not really that difficult to
: perform a PF rescue without the use of the lines. You just put
: the paddle directly aft of the coaming, hold it there by
: clamping your fingers around the paddle and your thumbs under
: the coaming lip. It may take a little practising but it will
: become easier.

: It's good to know how to perform this rescue without the lines
: because not all boats have the decklines/bungees set up to hold
: the paddle.

Good point I actually know of this but until you said something it never crossed my mind. What bill says about practice frequently is right. I guess I should fall out of my boat a little more often.
