: Do yourself a big favor and skip the cove and bead route.
: Milling C&B properly is one of the fussiest things you can do with
: a router.
: I bet 90%+ people don't get it right the first time. I didn't. And
: I didn't throw those strips away.
: If you don't get them right you defeat the whole purpose and you've
: just made your work harder.
: Pre-bevel one edge of your strips on the table saw and hand bevel
: the rest.
: It's much faster and easier and you'll have your hull stripped in
: the time you
: would spend fussing with C&B.

I can't see why people think it is so hard to mill B&C strips. I have a home-made fixture with two dedicated routers which takes me 10 - 30 minutes to get dialed in. (depending on what size strips I ran last) Once it is set up, I can mill 20 18ft. strips in 20 minutes or less.
One simple little trick - Wiggle the new strip as you are you are positioning it. If it is not in the cove, you can feel it drop in. The edges are more secure than trying to match two flat faces together.
