: I made my cradles out of foam floor tiles, gorilla tape and Goop.

: type of carrier. They keep the boats low to the roof = less wind
: resistance. In a cross wind, they do do not catch nearly as much

My favorite cartop carriers are "Burnham Boats Slings" as they have an 8 foot span between slings for super stability. Plus the flexible slings
compensate for any cross winds and have no hard contact points. They were originally designed for 20+ foot rowing shells.
