For the benefit of any Australians who might be interested in Paulownia, John White, who wrote some of the information in that thread has been my Paulownia supplier for my last seven kayaks but has been forced by ill health to retire.

Fortunately he has handed the business on to a wooden surfboard builder called Geoff Moase in Brunswick Heads.

I have been building all my strip build kayaks from mostly Paulownia with a bit of WRC or other dark timbers for accent strips.
