: The perimeter deck lines are going to be 1/4" braided
: polyester (Samson yacht braid).

I used surface mount deck fittings with strapping material towards the ends. To get it tight I used some of my spring clamps to hold the line taut( on one side of the fitting) while I tied a figure eight knot. I also used needle nose pliers with protective tape to pull the line taut.
