I know Festool has a high reputation for quality, but they have lost me with the big clunky drills with the "wrap around handle" (for lack of better description). Even if I were looking for a larger drill the thought of that piece in the front would turn me away. I do like the swappable chuck, and not knocking Festool, but I'm looking for compact. I already have two big drills.

I ended up going with the Milwaukee. Still waiting for arrival because I had to order it, but I did get to test one and loved it. Light, yet powerful. I bought a kit with drill, driver, and flashlight. What sold me on the Milwaukee was the total system that uses the same battery. I'm actually about to buy an inspection camera, and after that I want to get the laser thermometer for checking cylinder head, exhaust, and turbo temps in my other hobby (or one of the many). Gotta love a system where I have one battery for all. They even have a standard power port with a cigarette lighter type plug and a USB that runs off the battery, which is great for here where the power often goes out. I can charge my cell phone when the power is out- excellent for hurricane season.
