Fairing compound: Super Sap bio-epoxy with phenolic micro-balloons (as little as possible!). I can't use Microlight under the black paint. I was careful stripping and fairing the core so it shouldn't need much fairing. A few coats of high-build marine primer will take care of the rest. Most of it will actually be sanded off. The paint shop will be spraying their own primer and sealer.

Rudder: Stellar carbon fiber surf ski footbrace setup up front (like the last boat). Stellar surf ski under-hull rudder in the back. The rudder is held by a carbon fiber tube supported by a carbon crossplate (pic below). The control lines are 1.7mm Dyneema cord (cousin of Spectra) in polyethylene tubing. It's a very simple setup.
