Hi all.
I'm in the final (and exciting) stages of my SOF build and have just sewn 1050 nylon onto my tung-oiled frame. During the sewing process, I misted the skin and worked in as cool conditions as possible to keep it tight. The byproduct is that the skin has accumulated a few light stains from over-misting. I also managed to get a few places on the deck slightly dirty. I've seen it recommended in a few places not to get the skin too wet (as I did) because it leaves unseen stains that will become visible after urethane is applied.
My question is does anyone have any experience with washing a nylon skin, perhaps with soap and copious amounts of water, before coating to get rid of potential stains? I'm a little worried I've left invisible blemishes that will show up after it's too late.
Thanks for any advice!
