Been there....
1) Expensive, especially when the valve plugs up (yes I try to clear with can inverted before storage) when the can is 80% full
2) Awkward- spraying underdeck is tricky
3) Requires (a lot of) masking
4) VOCs are bad enough with liquid adhesives, worse when you spray them.
5) Unless the surfaces are extremely smooth, poor bonding (ie won't fill gaps at all)
Gel (not water-based) contact cement works OK for me, but my favourite is 3M Fast Tack Trim Adhesive pn 08031
