My epoxy, hardener and all solvents are stored in an Ice chest in my shop. From what info I've gathered, I am assuming that
opening and closing the hardener container exposed the hardener to excess oxygen causing it to oxidize - discoloring the
hardener. It might be a good idea to buy the hardeners in quart containers. This info was given to me by Eric - technical
support at MAS. Yellowing does not impair the quality of the mix. But it makes me feel insecure about using it.
When West Marine exchanged the hardener for me the manager said that he does not think West Marine will continue
carrying MAS due to it not selling enough to warrant stocking it in there warehouse. So, I may be going back to RAKA.
