: deck stringers we are off by about 3/4" over 11'. When I

Thanks to those who have responded and thank heavens for a son with a good spatial eye. I let myself get caught up with an optical illusion and thought it was twisted. Turns out it is bent. We are still measuring but it looks like there is a 1/8" bow in the keelson between the first and last station. That would mean maybe 1/4" of bend to starboard over 8' (I would need to turn the boat upside-down to confirm). The deck stringers have more bend (3/4") but I didn't worry too much about the rear stringer so it may be a red herring. Initial quick measurements show that amidship the port side is about 1/16" deeper but that was to the top of the chine, not the business end. I am thinking we might be able to move forward if I can get some straight wood for the stems (warped stems are what got me started looking at it).
