I have a couple of test strips, I'll hit it with the heat gun and try to pull it out. only problem is that the cloth can be melted if you are not carefull, so there is limited heat than can be applied.

Any other suggestions on different glue?

: A third option would be to soften the glue with heat. I don't know
: if it will work on CA but reportedly it does on white glue.
: Maybe WG's lack of water resistance could be fixed by using a
: caulk under the edges of the capping strip.
