: The 1/8" if it has an arc to it will be fine all by itself,
: used flat it'll probably still work but be bouncy and the

: doing the glassing. Wood is much lighter than epoxy, so if you
: can put the the glass on with very little epoxy, it might be a

Thanks for the info and I will keep it in mind. Given the problems we've had (and are still having, thanks to the high humidity of our workspace) we've decided not to introduce any more variables. We are going to save the hatches for the future boat (once he outgrows the Sea Bee).

So much to learn and hard to do with a 12 year old watching/helping. When Mike and I built Fishstalker he made it look easy (of course he had built at least four and a half boats when we did that).
