: A friend and I are building a Wee Lassie and a Wee Lassie II. The
: Wee Lassie is first. It is of northern white cedar and WRC, with
: cherry stems, thwart, gunnels, etc.. The cedar we purchased from
: Newfound Woodworks, the cherry was recovered from a downed tree
: on a friend's land. We purchased plans and the CADCAM forms from
: Newfound Woodworks. We plan to have as light a weight as
: possible as we want to portage them into small ponds in New
: York's Adirondack Park.

I have been planning to build a WL-1.5 for some time but have had trouble getting a round tuit. It's about half way between the WL and the WL-II. The WL-II is too much boat for my needs - I have a long carry to waterside with narrow streams and rivers to explore so I just stretched the basic boat to 12' to accomodate my bulk. I bet Rushton is turning in his grave over missing out on the epoxy and glass revolution.
