My feet are not that big, but I like to use Tiva self draining boat shoes, which are great for wet rocks etc, but need that bit of extra room, so I also find that many designs restrict foot space.

In the end my solution has had to be to adjust the sheer or deck height of certain boats in order to accommodate my shod feet. One has to be subtle with the changes though if you want the lines to stay looking good.

Having the foot rests nearer the centreline of the hull can help too, as there is more height in that area usually.

It does seem a shame to have to restrict boat choice just because one has clown feet. Not all big foots are heavy, some are long and thin, but still lightweights, so designers who offer high deck versions of their designs should be covered in glory.
