I've almost finished my second Yost build; my wife's Sea Bee, named Leas Cuillinn (Gaelic for "garden of holly", I think. Supposed to be the origin of my wife's name, Leslie).
She wanted it colored to match her paddle, so she came up with the thought of sponge painting. It's great... gonna think hard about doing this on my next build. The fabric is 8 oz. polyester from KudzuCraft covered with PL Premium, Rustoleum clean metal primer, then Rustoleum Pro Safety Yellow and sponge painted Safety Red. The PL Premium had some bubbling again, but the sponge painting covers it up well.
I'm thinking she's sitting a couple inches too far aft; gonna see if I can't talk her into adjusting her seat position. And that seat back is *HUGE*... I'm either going to get her a simple backband and cut all but the seat off the big one, or alter the big one to come up no further than her coaming.
She wants some bungee cord attached, and grab loops on each end. Once that's done, and her name plate attached, she'll be done. The wife loves the way she paddles; much more than the plastic ones she's been renting.
