I built my second skin-on-frame for my daughter by modifying Yost's Sea Tour 15R for a target length of 13.5' (ended up almost exactly 14'). I stuck with a beam of 22" and narrowed the bow and stern somewhat and added stubbier bow and stern.
This was a saran wrap test of the boat to see how it paddled before I invested in skinning the boat. My daughter was pleased at the stability and tracking of the boat, so nothing but good comments from the client (and she's hard to please).
But, what do you think about how it's sitting in the water? Not enough volume in the stern (sits back a bit)?
Thanks for any comments or thoughts,
Eric Compas
