Sorry, I posted that in a rush and forgot to say what quantity I was referring to. So yes, after putting five coats on a 21' double I had some left over from a one litre/quart can. Even if I found I needed two or even three quarts I would still buy by the quart because as soon as you take some out of the tin what is left in the tin skins over really fast (even with the lid on tight). To save what is left you have to pour it into smaller containers so that their is minimal air sealed inside the tin. There are old threads on the Forum on this topic. Some people pour in marbles to reduce the air space. I've never tried that, it sounds messy.
