I just finished the 3rd coat of Schooner on my Cape Ann and was dreading the next, and last coat. It is such a relief to hear people say 2-3 coats is enough. If I didn't have a major run, I would stop at 3!

I guess I was convinced 4-6 coats is mandatory (and it says so on the can). Interlux also says buffing out final coat will actually break down the UV protection. Any thoughts on that?
