I've been using 3" foam (as suggested by Nick, etc)and really love tossing it instead of cleaning a brush. I need to be more flexible and much less lazy...The foam does do a nice job, btw, but I also value a good brush.

My process is to tape along the shear, varnish the hull. Remove tape, Flip, tape along the paint line and finish deck. This leaves a seam, tick edge, so even when I have my final coat this edge needs to be addressed. Hence, the final wet sanding to 2500 and buffing. I would love to learn a better method. Please share.

I've seen the "rotisserie" set-up. I'm not fast enough to maintain a wet edge. Trust me! As Marc said spraying is ideal, just not for me, yet. I know this could start a whole new thread but what technique do you use?
